Puis cette exposition est partie pour d'autres villes européennes, en commençant par Londres, au British Museum.

This very light dress seems wet and then accentuates the beauty of her body in a typical greek style, while her left leg is advanced, in a striding posture very typical of Ancien Egyptian Art. This form of the god Osiris reminds the canopic jar where, mythically, Isis stored the parts of Osiris, killed by his brother Seth. In the reality, they stored the viscera of the dead. Their name come from the city of Canopus, where Franck Goddio's team made an underwater excavation. On the body of the vase are a winged disk, a winged scarab, baboons and children.

Found during Franck Goddio's underwater excavations in oriental port of Alexandria. It belongs to a pair of sphinxes and was probably in a sanctuary devoted to Osiris and Isis.
